Officers of Agency 3 4 Laws of Malaysia Act 837 5 Malaysian Border Security Agency (Dissolution) LAWS OF MALAYSIA Act 837 MALAYSIAN BORDER SECURITY AGENCY (DISSOLUTION) ACT 2022 An Act to repeal the Malaysian Border Security Agency Act 2017 [Act 799], to dissolve the Malaysian Border Security Agency established under the Act and to provide for related matters. [ ] ENACTED by the Parliament of Malaysia as follows: Short title and commencement 1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Malaysian Border Security Agency (Dissolution) Act 2022. (2) This Act comes into operation on a date to be appointed by the Minister by notification in the Gazette. Interpretation 2. In this Act, “Agency” means the Malaysian Border Security Agency established under section 3 of the Malaysian Border Security Agency Act 2017. 6 Laws of Malaysia Act 837 Repeal and dissolution 3. The Malaysian Border Security Agency Act 2017 is repealed and the Agency established under the Act is dissolved. Officers of Agency 4. A person appointed as an officer of the Agency under the Malaysian Border Security Agency Act 2017 immediately before the date of coming into operation of this Act shall, on the date of commencement of this Act, cease to be an officer of the Agency.
