Eligible applicants
Developers and operators of Temporary Occupation Licences (LPS) for river sand/mineral extraction.
Application requirements
- Compliance with technical requirements.
- Extraction of sand/materials not within road reserve.
- Extraction must be 100 meters from road reserve and less than 500 meters from bridge structures.
- Mining outside 10 meters from road reserve is allowed under certain conditions.
- Construction and maintenance of a minimum 24" diameter concrete culvert at access points.
- Acceleration lanes must be built according to JKR standards.
- Mining control boundaries must be marked according to JKR standards.
- Only one access road is allowed to existing roads, paved for 150 meters.
Agency fee breakdown
1. Temporary Occupation Licence - River Sand - RM 15,000.00.
2. Temporary Occupation Licence - Mineral Materials - minimum RM 15,000.00.
* The Pahang Public Works Department may adjust the deposit amount based on current needs and location.
