Application requirements
- Submit Traffic Impact Assessment (TIA Report) in hardcopy & softcopy for review.
- Submit RSA Report Stage 1 - 5 in hardcopy & softcopy for review.
- No sand excavation allowed within JKR road reserve.
- Sand excavation must be at least 100 meters from JKR road reserve and 500 meters from bridge structures.
- If involving JKR roads, approval for access intersections must be obtained.
- Access road must be paved for 150 meters from existing road edge.
- A washing trough must be provided 150 meters before the intersection.
- Intersections must be built according to plans certified by a Professional Engineer.
- Access roads and intersections must be kept clean.
- Ensure safety of government property and stability of excavation slopes.
- Excavation operations must not cause flooding in road reserve areas.
- When crossing ditches, a culvert of size 1.2m x 1.2m must be constructed.
- No sludge or water from excavation operations should flow into road drains.
- Access road gradient must not exceed 2% for 50 meters from existing road edge.
- Warning signs must be installed and maintained at access points.
Agency fee breakdown
1. Applicants must deposit a Bank Guarantee / Bank Draft of RM20,000.00 for road maintenance during defect liability period or until 12 months after the Certificate of Completion and Compliance (CCC) is issued.
