Application requirements

- Applicant must be a Malaysian citizen - Applicant must have a valid business license (SSM Certificate) - Must have a private site/lease/rental for the construction of the slaughterhouse - Must have a floor plan for the slaughterhouse to be built - The constructed slaughterhouse must meet DVS guidelines (Code of Veterinary Practice For Pig And Ruminant Abattoir, local slaughterhouse manual) - Ruminant slaughterhouse applicants must obtain Halal Slaughter Certification from the State Islamic Religious Department (JAIN) or the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM) when submitting the license application - Must have Planning Permission (KM) or KM Exemption Letter from the Local Authority (PBT) - Must have a Support Letter from the Director of the State Veterinary Services Department

New Application Application Fee = RM 100.00 (paid online during the first application or manually at the nearby Department Abattoir Complex) License Fee = RM 300.00 (after the license is approved by the Minister of Agriculture and Agro-Based Industry, valid for one year for the current year) Renewal Application License Fee = RM 300.00 (after the license renewal is approved by the Minister of Agriculture and Agro-Based Industry, valid for one year for the current year)
