Application requirements
- The license must be displayed upon request and cannot be transferred or leased.
- Valid within the premises of Port Klang as stated on the license.
- Valid for one (1) year from the approval date and must be renewed 3 months before expiry.
- The company may only conduct activities specified in the license.
- The license does not guarantee work or compliance with other applicable laws.
- The company must comply with the provisions of the Port Authorities Act, 1963.
- The company must adhere to performance standards set by terminal operators and shipping representatives.
- Terminal operators and shipping representatives have the right to review support provided for license renewal applications.
- The company must comply with all security and safety notices and codes issued by the Board or terminal operators.
- The company must ensure transparent and competitive service rates and charges.
- The company must have sufficient healthy staff aged 18 or older for operations.
- The company must contribute to the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) and Social Security Organization (SOCSO) monthly.
- The company is not allowed to require employees to work more than 16 consecutive hours.
