The Exploration Licence allows individuals or companies to obtain permission from the state authority to conduct exploration activities. Applicants must apply for a minimum area of 25 hectares and a maximum of 400 hectares. Application requirements
- Applicants must submit a completed Form 5A along with a location plan and company profile.
- After approval, fees must be paid within 60 days of receiving the approval letter.
- Regular activity reports and compensation for any damages to land must be submitted.
- Renewal applications must be made 6 months before the licence expires.

A) Fees
1. Application fee - RM100.00
2. Licence issuance fee - RM300.00
3. Annual holding fee - RM200.00 per unit

B) Validity period is not more than two (2) years.
