Application requirements
- The applicant company must submit an official application to the Port Commission of Penang (SPPP) and be registered with the Companies Commission of Malaysia.
- The applicant company must meet the requirements set by SPPP, including having sufficient staff, not employing foreign workers, and complying with conditions set by the port operator, Penang Port Sdn. Bhd.
- SPPP will present qualifying applications at the SPPP Board Meeting for approval.
- The licence will be issued once all conditions are met.
- The licence may be revoked or suspended if the company violates the licence conditions and can only be reinstated once compliance is achieved.
