Eligible applicants
Registered companies with the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM), licensed with local authorities.
Application requirements
- Complete the application form for selling liquor under the Excise Act 1976 (Section 35 & Regulation 11(1)).
- Obtain comments from relevant technical agencies such as: Local Authority, District Police Chief, Royal Malaysian Customs, Fire Department, and any other necessary agencies.
- Obtain approval from the District Licensing Board (LPD) which meets every three months.
- For renewal: 1 copy of the previous year's licence, 1 copy of the business licence, and repeat the above steps.
