Application requirements
- Ensure that every weighing or measuring instrument used for trade is verified.
- Submit complete details of the qualifications and experience of employees performing repairs or servicing within one week of hiring (Regulation 31A, Weights and Measures Regulations 1981).
- Provide a copy of the repair certificate to the Weights and Measures Inspector within seven days after repairs or servicing (Regulation 37).
- Maintain a record of all weighing or measuring instruments that have been made or repaired as specified in the regulations.
- Submit complete information/documents regarding any weighing or measuring instrument requested by the Weights and Measures Inspector within three days.
- Comply with laws and directives issued by any authority from time to time.
- Any violation of the conditions of this licence is an offense and may result in legal action.

RM100.00 per year
Approval of the licence cannot exceed a period of 5 years.
