Overview
The Water Enactment Licence allows for the obstruction of river flow and the construction of bridges, jetties, or platforms on rivers wider than 20 feet. It also permits the erection of retaining walls along riverbanks or the construction of any buildings within 50 feet of designated riverbanks or flood channels.

Application requirements
- New application / Renewal
- Application form under the Water Enactment 1967.
- 2 copies of land ownership and current land tax receipt.
- 15 copies of the relevant area plan.
- 4 copies of Plan A45.
- Letter of consent from the landowner (if any).
- For companies/organizations/associations - 2 copies of MAA/Form 24 and 49 (copy of Directors and Board Members list).
- For individuals - 2 copies of identification card.
Agency fee breakdown
1. Application fee RM400.00 per lot.
2. Fee subject to state authority's decision.
3. Licence expires annually on December 31.
4. Renewal applications approved by the District Land Administrator.
