Application requirements
- Premises must be registered with the Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM) or relevant agency.
- Premises must be registered with the Ministry of Health Malaysia (KKM) via the Food Premises Registration at www.fosim.moh.gov.my.
- Premises must have a license or approval from the Local Authority (PBT) or confirmation letter from any government agency.
- Application for BeSS recognition must be done online at www.fosim.moh.gov.my.
- Operators must maintain a food premises inspection score of 86% or above during inspections.
