Application requirements

- Applicant must be a Malaysian citizen - Applicant must have a valid business license (SSM Certificate) - Must have private land/lease/rental for the construction of the slaughterhouse - Must have a floor plan for the slaughterhouse to be built - The constructed slaughterhouse must meet DVS guidelines (Code of Veterinary Practice For Pig And Ruminant Abattoir, local slaughterhouse manual) - Applicants for ruminant slaughterhouses must obtain Halal Slaughter Certification from the State Islamic Religious Department (JAIN) or the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM) when submitting the license application - Must have Planning Permission (KM) or KM Exemption Letter from the Local Authority (PBT) - Must have obtained a Support Letter from the Director of the State Veterinary Services Department

Agency fee breakdown

Application Fee = RM 100.00 (paid online during application or manually at the nearby Slaughterhouse Department) - the slaughterhouse must be built and completed within two years (24 months) from the approval period by the Minister of Agriculture and Food Security Malaysia.
