The Entertainment Licence (EL) regulates all types of entertainment activities and gatherings. It is required for individuals and organizations wishing to host entertainment events. This licence permits the holder to conduct specified entertainment activities in compliance with local regulations.

Eligible applicants

Individuals, organizations, companies, government agencies, statutory bodies, departments, and ministries.

Application requirements

- Malaysian citizen. - At least 18 years old. - Written permission from the land/location/building owner. - Written support from relevant authorities (e.g., for specific types of entertainment like Muay Thai). - No derogatory or exploitative remarks during the performance. - No political activities on the entertainment stage. - Women are not allowed to perform in public/open entertainment venues (only for women and children). - Children's performances in public are allowed (only girls aged 12 and below). - Dress modestly during performances. - Application form must be submitted one week before the performance date. - A deposit of RM500.00 must be paid (refundable after one day post-performance). - Legal action and forfeiture of the deposit will occur for any violations of the terms and regulations during the performance.
