Eligible applicants
Companies registered with the Companies Commission of Malaysia.
Application requirements
- Company registered with the Companies Commission of Malaysia.
- Minimum 30% Bumiputera ownership for airport, port, border, and domestic KBC; minimum 70% for city KBC.
- Pass security screening by the Royal Malaysian Customs Department for directors and the company.
- Business premises must be suitable, secure, and distanced from flammable or explosive materials, equipped with fire extinguishers, functional security alarms, CCTV, and have a Certificate of Fitness (CF).
- Application must be submitted to the responsible State Customs Station.
- Applications for City, Domestic, and Border Duty-Free Shops are currently frozen.
